May 2010
Michael Gove, the new Education Secretary, invites all schools to apply to become Academies during a televised visit to Cuckoo Hall Primary School, Edmonton, London on 25 May 2010.
Cuckoo Hall registers its desire to be one of the first Primary schools in the UK to opt for Academy status.
June 2010
Cuckoo Hall Primary’s application for Academy status is accepted.
July 2010
Major building work starts on a neighbouring "void" secondary school building to allow Cuckoo Hall to expand its Reception class offering.
"Academy Re-branding" exercise commences throughout the school.
Ward-Hendry visit school to scope out new "Academy" signage; this results in our tender bid for the business.
Ward-Hendry is awarded the project and conducts "creative reportage" photoshoot of pupils to create "visual assets" for materials
August 2010
Ward-Hendry design and artwork all signage for approval by school.
Various site visits to finalize locations, sizes, dimensions.
All approved signage artwork goes to print.
September 2010
All outdoor materials installed successfully and painlessly in time for school opening its doors to pupils and parents as an Academy
Interior Storyboard display panels printed and delivered for installation onto walls of new Reception classes block.
